UAE. There was
glamour and glitz. There were fireworks and fancy millinery. There was a
live performance from Vanessa Mae. There was even some horse racing. The
event? It could only be the 13th Dubai World Cup – the richest race-day on
the planet – which took place on 29 March, at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse in
Dubai.
MaltaFireworks was invited by Pains Fireworks to display
2 Irdieden
as part of the 12 minute Dubai World Cup ceremony. At
around 7pm, the crowd was treated to a spectacular Dubai World Cup (DWC)
Ceremony, designed to celebrate the journey a racehorse undertakes to make
it to the starting line for the world’s greatest race. The
fireworks display by Pains Fireworks was synchronized to the live
performance of violin virtuoso Vanessa
Mae, who composed an original music score for the show.
The atmosphere at the
race-track was heady and vibrant, as approximately 60,000 enjoyed their day
– and evening – at the races.
